WHAT IS COUNSELLING
Counselling provides you with an opportunity to help process your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgemental, confidential environment. The most effective counselling happens when there is a warm and trusting relationship between the counsellor and client.
I offer Integrative Counselling which is based on the Humanistic philosophy that places importance on human dignity and the need for continual growth so that you can lead a fulfilling life. This involves using
Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis counselling theories. and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) which is the body's natural healing process. Other areas that may be discussed with you are your lifestyle, health, sleep patterns and other aspects, such as relaxation techniques.
Whatever the situation take your first step whether you are anxious, depressed, grieving or feeling bad about yourself. You are the real expert in what is going on for you and what you need. I am here to support you.
